I know, I know, sometimes you genuinely forget where you found a model. But I believe most people who don't give proper credit are just being lazy. This is not good enough:

:bulletblack: "models not by me"
:bulletblack: "can't remember where i got these models"
:bulletblack: "credit to the porters"

Porters, riggers, extractors, modders and meshers work hard to give you access to models for you to use. They deserve credit, and other people deserve to be able to find publicly available models with ease.

If you can't be bothered to link individually to all models used in a render (and sometimes it can be a lot), here is my suggestion:

:bulletblack: Create a favourites folder called 'render resources' or 'xps stuff' or whatever.
:bulletblack: Whenever you download a model, or see a model you might like to use in the future, add it to that favourites folder.
:bulletblack: When the time comes to make your render you can refer to it to give credit and to find models you might want to use.
:bulletblack: Alternatively, you can simply link to that favourites folder as your entire credit (e.g. "you can find model links in my [resources folder]"). People might have to search a few pages, but if you've put those models in your folder they should be able to find them.
:bulletblack: Favourites in sub-folders will not show up in your favourites widget on your userpage by default, only generally favourited works do, so you don't have to worry about resources clogging up your favourites.
:bulletblack: For models from off-deviantART, consider making a bookmark folder for the same purpose.

I'm not even a modder but I get a little mad everytime I see people submit xna worjs and don't give proper credit. Either they are just plain lazy or completely unaware that something like crediting exists.
