The under-suit design of the quarians is probably the most disappointing Mass Effect ever did. They literally took a stock photo of a woman and photoshopped her purple, white-eyed, three-fingered and with some lines on her face. How boring and predictable!

Here are some more interesting designs:

Do you wish Bioware had made Tali/quarians more complex looking? How do you picture quarians?

I picture quarians as having the sort of skin fissuring from the rudimentary design of lines. I found it appealing, as what I thought about was that it was a biological feature to be explanation of sensitivity to their entire foreign galactic environment, as they could be filters to the atmosphere where they had been appropriated to live. A distinct feature that gives them their own identity, while at the same time can represent a connection to their homeworld and what had been designated to their immune system description. What I like to think about further nonetheless is for somehow there to be a universal conceptual equation of galactic society, where in some corner of imagination their bodies can be attuned to exposure in any environmental realm. That what if bearing suits doesn't have to strictly be necessity regarding their health anymore, rather expression in fashion moreover.

I agree with Skyward-Dreamer's comment. I don't imagine them having scales, or any rugged skin texture. I wonder about the recurring appearance of their skin tone by shared concept, being in the spectrum of mystic cool colors. It may pose as another distinct feature. It would be nice to add somehow slightly more details to each basic element of their uniqueness so as to make things genuine and realistic. I am not in disagreement with them having hair. To touch on suits once more, I would like to say that all this time it has provided a magnificent aesthetic, and I feel has been the great part to their appeal.
